The way to a little man's heart

Tank (5yo):  Mommy, you are SUCH a good mommy!

Me:  I am?

Tank:  Yup.  You are so good I don't EVER want to get rid of you!

Me:  Really?  Not even if I'm mean to you?

Tank:  No, never!  You're a good mommy.  Do you know why?

Me:  Why?

Tank:  Because you make such good food.  VERY good, actually.

Moral of this story?  The way to a man's heart, whether big or little, is most definitely through his stomach!  At least in this family! >D

LOL, DS just told me something very similar not too long ago. Something about he would never run away from home because he would miss my cooking too much. LOL Made me feel good because I'm not a very good cook. LOL

Males LOVE food!!

Kids are great... They say exactly what's on their mind. Why can't we all be like that?

That is so cute! My boys love a good meal too, and have expressed their undying devotion for my cooking. Tiki does have a problem with certain foods, but he says it isn't my cooking, just his tastebuds.

AAhhhhh!! How very sweet! Don't you love having little boys? Mine aren't so little anymore, but they still surprise me with sweetness just like this. We are freezing here - it's SO cold! Hopefully, things will start warming up a bit, soon. Thanks for visiting me! God bless ~ Julie

I'd like to add that it is the way to this woman's heart as well! :) By the way, as I was catching up on blogs - been a while...- I noticed your school post. Are you stopping Sonlight? Or did I completely misunderstand? :)

Thanks for your comment :) I'm glad to hear about Sonlight - the books have been a huge blessing to us as well. We haven't tried the grammar yet, only the read alouds and readers, as well as some science. I was waiting on the LA til next year I think... Anyway, I love the way they've changed the readers to so many different categories - it definitely helped to spread out a core between different reading abilities! Enjoy Missionary Stories - they are one of our favorites!

I liked this one and it made me chuckle. It is too true about a way to there heart is fill their tummys with good things. Makes them feel all warm and good inside. I am sorry I haven't made it over lately my friend but you are thought of many a time. I hope to be blogging more soon as I am done moving out of our rental. Almost to "The House that God made".

God Bless <><
