HAPPY BIRTHDAY GENA!

Stop by Gena's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday!!!

Jen has some mighty fine words to say about her older sister...and I think that she might actually get Gena a very special birthday present.  But just in case she doesn't, here's my present to you my dear friend...

See the smile?!

Thanks for visiting again.

I can say for sure that without the flexibility that homeschooling gives us, I do not know what we would do. DD would sure have a rough time of it if she had to go to school. She has always needed more sleep than DS too, and homeschooling gives us that flexibility too.

If you can ever come to visit us between the months of December and March, we can probably give you snow. We live in a snow belt.

I know about wanting to be country folk. Before we moved here we lived in a big city with no yard. Now we are in a great place. We live in a town of about 1800, with farms all around us. We have a large yard where the kids can play safely, and LOTS of birds! In the spring the kids can stand outside and "grow"! The smell of manure and fresh dug dirt is enough to make anyone grow! :)

Some day I may put up some of my reasons for homeschooling, besides the already mentioned ones.

Love,

Karen

Quick question, or maybe not. I signed up to be an affiliate for Amazon and I put the little boxes on my blog but the image for the book doesn't come up. Everytime I check on a book to get the html on amazon there is no book image. You can see my blog to see what I am talking about. And of course there is no way to ask anyone there a question. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks, your techie challenged friend.

Maybe I'll get around to it, one of these days. :) It was quite the life! But I've been home for nineteen years now so I'll have to dig deep in the memories to find stories.

Hope you have a great weekend! I'll try to get online sometimes, but don't know how much free time I'll have.

I love goats... wish I had some... one of these years... need fencing first, and that doesn't come cheap.

So for now I just read books about raising goats and sheep and chicken and turkeys...

and children!

Thanks so much for the prayers about my weird situation. They are greatly appreciated. I've been so busy but I'm going to have to go back and look at your archives and read about your trip. It sounds very exciting.
