Favorite Things: Vanity Edition

It is a non-contest week at one of my favorite photography sites-- I Heart Faces. This week's theme is "Favorite Things."

I'm focusing on favorite things from my Vanity.

Vanity as in the sink in my bathroom.

(As opposed to the vanity that means being vain or having excessive pride in one's appearance. At least not this time.)

I've been in a bit of a fresh smelling kick lately and it shows with all of those green products up there.

These are a few of my favorite things de la Vanity:

1. MAC fragrance in Creations Hue: Greenify
2. Serum de la Mer (doesn't have much of a scent but is supposed to be "the lifting face serum")
3. Mary Kay Lotus and Bamboo nourishing body lotion
4. Unforgivable by Sean John (I love how this smells on my hubs!)

And I can't leave out this not-pretty but VERY useful item for those of us that are lazy about washing the ick of the day away on the super-tired nights...

I am a bit sad that I am to the point of searching out anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products. But I'm not going to wipe away the tears!

Because rubbing on your face causes wrinkles, y'all.

What are your favorite vanity items?

LOL - you totally crack me up about the wrinkle thing. Pleeaasee. . .you have NO idea about wrinkles until you've taken a good look at this face of mine. You could drive a 4 wheel drive through some of these crevices on my poor face. *sigh* I think I've taken your post on the vanity into that vanity that you were trying to avoid - I'm sounding a little vain here. LOL

Loved seeing all your products. I have WAY more products than you, though, cause like I said, I have more wrinkles . . . .

God bless you, my friend!!

Julie- you haven't looked in the sink cabinet! yikes. there are lots o' concoctions under there.

Ruthanne- :p you and your beautiful non-photoshopped skin can go elsewhere.

Yelena- ah vanity! i embrace it at a shallow level. fear of commitment keeps me from embracing it fully.

Thanks for sharing these items with us. Gives me a little reminder that maybe I should pamper myself a bit more. Off to the drug store I go. I could use some fresh sents and wash myself :)

Ha! I actually did include a handful of cosmetics in my list of favorite things - there's not many of them, but I'd surely hate to live without them!

My favorite thing right now is Daily Solar Protective Moisterizer by Devita. I hear ya about wrinkles! I wish I'd used a heavy duty SPF in my teen years;)

Hmmm, no anti-wrinkle products yet (it's not that I don't need them yet, it's just that I'm too lazy and cheap to buy them and my skin is too sensitive to use most any of them...)
Not really a big hair person either, pretty much a wash and go type, so I guess my favorite vanity item would have to be water :-D
Mind you, I'm not winning any beauty pageants, but then, I've never really wanted to, so, ya know, whatever.

All that being said, I WILL be adding some color to my hair soon, and hopefully covering a few too many grays in the process...

Have a good one,
enjoy them-
