the ugliest pants in the world

It takes guts to stake such a BIG claim in that title, doesn't it?

Let me tell you, it's all about guts and glory around here.

It takes courage, boldness and a slight case of color-blindness to wear these bad boys:

He claims that he wears them because they are comfortable. But even if they weren't comfortable, he says he would wear them to honor me. Yup, ME.

I am ashamed to admit this publicly.

Deeply ashamed...

I bought them for him as a gift.

I promise that when I bought them they were neatly folded up to where all you could see was the black part with the word "xbox" on it. No nasty neon green was visible!

Y'all do believe me, right?

If your beloved bought you something ugly as a gift, would you still wear it or are you a return-er? Would you only wear it at home or would you also wear it in public?

{These pants are just too ugly to link up to Darcy's Sweet Shot Tuesday. This one rotten apple will surely spoil the whole barrel!}

You're so funny. I don't believe you ONE BIT! I bet you, David and the boys all have a matching pair and you wear them at the same time. :P I love you!

You're right, Coco. But we only wear them with our matching Christmas sweater vests. Because we are cool like that.

You are too funny!! LOVE it! I used to be a take-backer and I might still have to hear about the time I returned a bracelet he bought me. Oh my! Now, I'm a wearer. And I might just wear those bad boys in public. If they were that comfortable. ;)

you are too much.. I love it.. and NO I would not wear it and yes I would return it! But my beloved would do the same.. He is very very picky on clothes!! Picker than I am!

I've never in my life worn matching Christmas sweater vests. I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Oh, and you should dedicate one room of your house just for pure ugliness. I think it would be a good release for you. Get all of your ugly stuff in one place so you can soak it all in at one time. Just sayin'.

Radical, dude.

Totally tubular!! Or, as a dear friend's 16 year old son says, the homeschool term for totally tubular is....

All pipe!

I once wore some ghastly, hideous perfume that Dave got me the first year we dated because he smelled it on some lady in a store and thought is smelled sooo good, and I just didn't want to hurt his feelings, but trust me, it did NOT smell good on me. I finally threw it out, but I didn't tell him till many, MANY years later, like when we were married! It was Estee Lauder's White Linen. Double Gag!

I agree with Coco!!!

I'm all about humiliating myself in public, so I'd totally wear something ugly that my husband bought me.

I'm all about humiliating him in public, too, so I'd make him be seen with me while wearing said ugly item.

I'm a good wife like that.

p.s. I pink puffy heart Christmas sweater vests.

Ooooooh - that's a tough one! It's possible that I would return it because the first several years of marriage I bought him probably a dozen very nice sweaters (it was the early 90s and they were stylish!!!!) and he probably wore each one once.

So I would at least have that on my side. :)

Actually, he's a wonderful gift-buyer and I have no complaints!!!

Btw, those pants remind me of Zubas - do you remember those in the 90s. My hubby had some reddish leopard print ones - even then I thought they were hideous.

Marsha! Marsha! Marsha! Those are the ugliest pants in the world!

I would totally regift. I do it all the time. What is the harm : ) And someone out there must be in need of ugly pants like that, right? : )

I love your sense of humor.

I am not sure what I would do, but a friend just sent my husband a t-shirt that said... SOB~ Sexy Old Bob... and he wore it for a full day when we met them at the beach, in their honor. I don't think I could have worn it, but I still walked next to him:) I think that shirt has mysteriously disappeared since then.

Coco loco! I never said anything about YOU wearing a sweater vest or having worn a sweater vest in the past. Sensitive to some fashion choices in the past are we? ;)

I think your ugly room idea is a GREAT!!! I haven't cleaned out David's side of the closet in a very long time, I am sure there would be tons o' stuff to put in there!

I love you!

Well, since they look like pajama pants I'd totally wear them at home, but not in public, because we don't pj's around in public. But I know a lot of people who would think those rocked. But not me because we're more Wii people than Xbox people :)

Hmmm, if my DH bought me something truly hideous I'd probably only wear it at home. If it was only semi-hideous, I'd wear it out. Although how does one determine if it is semi-hideous? I dont' know, lol!

Those pants are actually burning my retinas right now, I have to look away! Do they glow in the dark? Maybe you could save them for when the power goes off, like a glowstick? I'm kidding of course! They're not that bad and they actually look quite comfy!

Well I didn't read every single comment but am I the only one that is a returner?? Yes, I love him but lets be real (and pratical) if I'm not about to wear it...why leave it in the closet? And he's cool with that:)

Oh, and I LOVE silly (even ugly) pj pants...and even boxers:)
