My oven is evil!

...Evil, I tell you!  It keeps giving me high calorie, high fat, high taste, and low nutritional baked goods.  As I'm writing, I am devouring almost an entire mini-muffin pan of delicious, delectable and fresh-from-the-evil-oven pecan pie muffins (per Homemade Gourmet).

Warm, toasty pecans nestled in a sweet brown sugar batter and a perfectly crisp crust...mmmmmm..... It wouldn't be so bad if it just stopped at the muffins.  That oven is out to get me and wants me to pack on the pounds!  Earlier today it forced me to eat a positively cheesy and tasty Mexican Casserole...two whole plates!

I think I need to get rid of it before it gets rid of me.  Just think how much healthier it would be around here without that oven.  You don't exactly bake much protein, do ya?  Nope, just breads and desserts and a variety of creamy, fattening casseroles.

I'll have to have a glass of milk and a few more muffins while I devise the perfect plan...

I can feel the pounds packing on just reading this.

Sounds yummy. Being preggo I sure would love to live closer to you so you can share you fattening, delicious foods. :)

Love you.

Oh Yummy! You paint quite a picture of some scrumptious, pecan-y heaven. Shame on you! Not really. :) Sounds delish! I see it is a mix that I must resist...as I have already lost the fight with s'mores this weekend....

Your post is cracking me up ... my oven gives me nice warm chewy chocolate brownies that can't be resisted ... what can I do?!

I have the same problem with my oven!! I thought it was just a defect in MY machine, but obviously it is a design flaw in these things! My oven made delicious pumpkin muffins and then practically MADE me eat them all in two days! Evil oven...doesn't it know the holidays haven't even arrived yet. I can't start putting on holiday fat for at least 3 more weeks!

We love many of their food packets. Some of my favorites are the Sunday Roast seasoning and the Spanish Rice. Yummy!

I just popped over to thank you for the sweet comment you left on my blog (and thank you, I am proud of them.) and now I want to get up and bake, it's 11:30 pm here! Although I'm sure DH would LOVE to come home in the morning to some fresh baked goodies.....see what you started ;)

Yummm - you're making everyone here hungry!! Did I tell you I got the mix stuff you mentioned for the shredded pork? I'm going to try it out on Tuesday. Instead of pork though (hubby's not a big fan of porkers), I'm using beef. I'll let you know how it all comes out!

I was reading your post a JenIg's - you'd love the chickens once you got used to them! Even their feet! LOL I had a bunch of chickens and one became my pet. She loved for me to pick her up and pet her head. Her name was Zelda. Poor thing got attacked by a hawk, though, and it was horrible finding her!! We are going to get chickens again, but will have to had a top to the pen so the hawks can't attack. There's nothing like fresh eggs! :o)

I checked out the Homemade Gourmet! I have never heard of this before. Did you get your stuff at a party or do you sell it? I am really excited about this as I think it would be a great fun to do this and have a little business like this. Just what I need - something more to do! LOL Anyway, let me know what you know about them. It's very interesting!

How Evil. I will make the sacrifice (being the good friend that I am) and take care of that Naughty stove for you. Just bring all that stuff to MY house and I will eat... uh....er... dispose of it for you.

Aren't you glad that I am such a great friend? ;-D

Blessings,

Marsha,

I'm glad you liked my picures. Believe it or not, I didn't use a filter. (I don't even HAVE a filter.) Just my handy, dandy Kodak Easyshare DX4530 w/ 5 MP. I would LOVE to have the Digital Cannon Rebel. Maybe one day.

I didn't have to do much to the pictures with the Hay Bales. The sunset and the clounds and the sky were just perfect. I did go into Paint Shop Pro and fiddle with the Saturation. But that is it.

I'm glad you enjoyed them! :-D

Blessings,

It's less than 24 hours until my appointment, just a little longer until I can put my contact lenses back in. Whew! Thanks for your prayers, too - I'm such an Eeyore I'm trying not to get my hopes up that I'm even a candidate for Lasik! Blessings! :)
