I want to be a tree

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To Proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."

-Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV (emphasis mine)

I want to be a tree. I pray that God would allow me to grow tall and have great, spreading branches with lush, green leaves.

Beautiful picture.

That is a great reminder! I think you are right too about making sure we really pray when we say we will. Sometimes there is no words for pain you are going through and truly praying and checking on on people is an amazing thing. Sometimes just sitting there handing them kleenex and not offering empty words is better.....

The tree is just gorgeous! As is all of God's creation...and what a nice connection to that verse...I see how we should all be trees, pointing to and glorifying God! :D
