Double the treasure

Noah had a good idea when he buried his treasure on that hill.

I had forgotten that someone else had already dug for treasure there before him.

Christian said he was hiding from me.

Then he went back to work.

I remember asking him what he was doing.

"I digging fo' gowd, mommy!"

"Did you find any?"

"Nope, just wocks!"

I want to write these memories down before they get muddy. Right now, I am so thankful for the clarity of certain days and special moments!

You know what? There is an even greater treasure than what Noah or Christian found on those days. There is an even greater treasure than these memories and photos that God has blessed me with.

This treasure is available to anyone and everyone. To receive it, one only has to confess that they are a sinner, turn from their sins (repent), believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and make Christ the Lord of their lives.

The greatest treasure is salvation through Jesus Christ!

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ~Matthew 6:20-21

Do you have everlasting treasure? Where does your heart lie?

Amen and amen!

I am glad for the clear memories and all of the pictures that God had you to take.

And super glad that even on the clearest of days, this is seeing darkly. I cannot begin to imagine the clarity that we will see with. It makes me so excited! No more fatigue or sadness or grief or hurting. No more struggling with this flesh! It makes me want to bust out in song...

"What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the Promised Land, what a day, glorious day, that shall be!!"

Your posts are always a blessing, but when you share your heart in such an honest way like these past few posts have been -- they are anointed. Reading how you allow God to work in your life, how you continue to turn and point to him in joys and in trials, inspires me to try a little harder to watch for my own God moments and fingerprints.
Love you girl

There's the gospel in a nutshell!

Even though I never heard his little voice I could just hear him saying "gowd" and "wocks". Sweet, sweet boy!
