Procrastinating, painting and ponderings

Currently a neutral shade of khaki, my plans were to brighten up the room of my big boys with a cool, crisp blue sky and white billowing clouds.  It only took 2 1/2 years plus 2 days of procrastinating!  Actually it is soon to be plus 3 days of procrastinating.  After church and getting the baby settled in bed, it took a while for me to dig out all the paint gear from the deep, dark recesses of the garage.  And since dh is gone right now I had no assistance and no GPS to navigate my way through No-Woman's Land.

Okay, so I barely made it up the stairs with all the paint paraphernalia only to find my two Thomas the Tank Engine clad boys fast asleep in their beds.  Actually, the light was on and they had wrapped themselves up like burritos in their blankets...sweaty heads and all!  I had promised them that since I didn't get to paint yesterday, I would stay up late tonight and paint their rooms and let them sleep with me in my bed (a rare treat since that means they can watch a movie until they fall asleep).  What is it about kids looking so angelic and sweet when they're sleeping???  All three boys were sleeping with their hiney's up in the air...you know they're still little when they do that!

So the painting waits til yet another day...

I am so blessed to have three beautiful...I mean, handsome little men...and handsome husband!  I am just filled with joy thinking about my life and all that God has given me-- I am so undeserving!  He has given me so much more than I ever could've imagined and I never would have thought that being a mommy could be sooo wonderful and rewarding.

Thank you Lord for bestowing your mercy, grace and blessings upon my family...but most of all, for giving your Son to be sin for us!

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:19

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.  ~Ephesians 3:20,21

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.  Selah.  ~Psalm 68:19

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  ~Colossians 3:15

i was thanking God for all my blessings today as well. SO undeserved; He is so gracious. I was really thankful for my hot coffee. it was so good today, and that i have a house and warmth and more food than we need, and the fact that I have the luxary of curling up with a book in my big cozy chair. I will miss those things when the nucleur holocaust descends upon me and my future solitary chicken. However, I will continue to choose to praise the everlasting trustworthy God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Because He will never leave me nor forsake me and He will work ALL things -- even trouble, death, poverty, persecution -- for good.

did you get your painting done? if so how does it look. you must post pictures when it is finished. I need to redo Jacob's room. I did it in Raggedy Ann/Andy b/f he was born. I used Red, White, & Blue. I'm talking DARK red, and blue. Now I want to do red Farmall tractors, but they are sooooo hard to find. The only think one can really find is John Deere. I really dont' want a green and yellow room.

See, I KNEW you were a kindred spirit! Isn't SIT the best movie? Dh and I got to go to Mackinac lsland a few years ago. My parents sent us for our anniversay. We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Hotel. It was awesome. Our room overlooked the lake (and the light house). We could hear the horses clip cloping up the front of the hotel. It was like going back in time. We found the 'Is it You?" Place down by the lake. They have a rock there with a plaque. It has a picture of Elise and Richard. Way cool!!!!

I always yell at Richard when he pulls the penny out of his pocket. I just stand there screaming at the TV! LOL

You do have some cuties. And I commend youfor even attempting to paint without your husband. Last time Itried that I ended up purple and my living room (where my kids were hanging out while I painted) ended up way past messy! LOL! At least you were smart enough to try and get your guys to sleep first.

You look beautiful! I love that picture. It is funny how you only imagine people they way you see them in 1 picture. They always look so different when you see them in another picture. KWIM?

They ones that really throw me off are the cartoon avatars. I will always picture that person as a cartoon...LOL. I don't know what I would do if I saw their *real* picture. LOL

Love,
