It's been a long and exhausting week, but lots of fun!
I got to see my beautiful niece Emily and nephew Benjamin this week!!! And spend lots of time with two of my sisters and even my mom and dad.
I got back home from OOOOOOOOO-klahoma(!) on Tuesday, had our last day of Master's Club for the semester on Wednesday night, and had a fantastically fun and fabulous Homeschool Field Day with some friends from church. I am simply exhausted! But the entire family had a fun time of fellowship, yummy food, and giganto moonwalk-like slip and slide we rented, and a b-day party for a friend all rolled up in one.
I am SO blessed!
I hope to post a couple of pics tomorrow but don't hold me to it-- I am so ready to get back into the routine of school!
Now it's time for me to clean up and wash up. By the way, flip-flops are NOT the ideal footwear when you're in charge of 4-6 year olds at a field day that is held on a mini-ranch. Talk about dusty and icky feet!
Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Flip flops are not exactly good footwear *whenever* 4-6 year-olds are involved, especially out in a field. Have you ever tried running in them? The last time I did that (long time ago) I nearly killed myself.
Wow! Sounds like quite a week! Glad it was a good one and glad you got to meet your brand new little niece.

Sounds like a great time. I always enjoy reading your blogs, even thought I don't comment often.
Have a blessed weekend!

I'm glad that you had a great week! And no....flip flops and field day do not go together. But then again, I am entirely anti-flip-flop, and am of the opinion that sneakers are the only way to go....so I'm kind of biased. :o)
So glad you made it back safe and sound and that you had a wonderful time!
We had a sort of track and field day at a park with homeschooling kids from church and one friend wore some seiously high platform sandals... I tried to get her to demonstrate the obstacle course for us, but she wasn't falling for it! (In fact, she may have fallen if she tried!)
Welcome home, looking forward to some pics,
ali
How do you manage to do Saturday school? That is my only day to clean house and catch up with life.
I have toyed with the idea of scheduling a four day week, but I decided for the present that I wanted to have the flexibility of unscheduled days off. As long as we keep mostly on track, it hasn't been a problem, and we've been able to do that this year--even with over three weeks off in March/April.
Blessings,
Karen
